The Sioux City Marina, formerly known as Mlr Tym Landing, located at 1100 Larsen Park Road next to the Hilton Garden Inn, will operate under new management for the 2017 boating season. New improvements and upgrades will benefit boaters providing a better outdoor recreational experience.
To kick-off the upcoming season, the marina will hold a sign-up party on Thursday, March 2 at the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Garden Inn in Sioux City from 6-8pm. Current and past slip-owners, as well as newly interested boaters, are welcome to come and register for their 2017 summer slip. A 10% discount will be given for anyone who pays in full by March 2.
In June 2016, Hegg Companies, Inc. based in Sioux Falls, SD acquired the marina as part of the purchase of the Hilton Garden Inn-Sioux City Riverfront. The marina has since changed its name to Sioux City Marina and has debuted a new logo, website, and exterior signage. Upgrades to the property are ongoing, including wireless Internet, improved security to the docks, and an enhanced method of communication with slip owners via text and email, to name a few. Additional modifications and improvements will continue throughout the rest of the boating season.
“The marina will continue running as it had been with the intent on doing better,” said Jennifer Seifert-Brenna, Vice President of Hotel Openings and Transitions for Hegg Companies, Inc. “Our primary focus is to enhance the experience – from the property to the customer service. Any changes as far as services go, will be to better the marina.”
